Alien: Earth
#1

I really do like most thing related to the Alien franchise, but you really can't do any better than the original movie 'Alien' by Ridley Scott or follow the up 'Aliens' by James Cameron.

I've now caught the first 4 episodes of this brand new series from Noah Hawley and I have to say I'm really impressed with it so far. There's a lot of nods to the aesthetic and feel of the original first 2 films, but with a very original story set just a few years before the first film.

The story so far has been very entertaining and been able to catch some of the horror of the first films, which is very difficult considering pretty much everyone now knows the Xenomorphs and their movie history.

I thought I'd wait to post about it, and make sure I'd seen a few episodes first. Sometimes a show will throw all it's money into the first episodes and then hold back till the last one.
Other than the 'ship' in the first ep' this hasn't happened, so I thought it was ok to recommend it.

I've found the story of the sinth's, Aliens (including new 'species') and humans to be really gripping and well written.

Also to see Adrian Edmondson in a serious role is amazing. I'm waiting for a burp or headbutt!!!
