It was the speed at what happened that shocked me then , maybe 5 or so hours peed and I got a visit pointing out what I signed and to STFU about it .

That was nothing compared to when covid hit , in the UK there was a television advert for a mattress topper ( Hand made in Italy ) was the big selling point , I phoned the number for a laugh and the operator on the other end thought they had another idiot hooked , I asked about the hand made in Italy claim , Then pointed out that it was where covid was hitting bad accordingto all the news channels .

Within a hour or less when that commercial rolled out again the hand made in Italy bit had been cut from the commercial ?  If people think little websites are not monitored they are truly daft , I remember at the old place a mod being shocked about how quick they had got a take down order when a airframe blueprint was put up lol .

And we were discussing the gutting of the white house in the 1940s  and refit on a forum , the pictures were on the net for decades , I think it was the FBI who came in and siezed them and classified them thereafter

About 30 years ago I was working in the offshoreoil industry on a semi submersible drilling rig down in the pontoons with 3 other guys .

The inspector shows us the job we have to do and says in case of a fire push this red  button with no safety cover on it which would activate a 6 inch thick very small round door with a ram of about 100 plus tons and the Halon gas fire suppressant .

I put my hand over the button and mentioned that I could run a hundred meters in 10 seconds but there was not a hope in hell I could make that door without being snapped like a twig , and never mind  the rest of the crew that was there , I also brought up to the inspector that we breathed oxogen as my hand played dangerously beside this button , I joked with him are you ready to take one for the team  .

That cost the oil industry many many millions and I never worked offshore again
