As the Lady said, there are citizens waiting on a place to live for many years yet arrive on a boat or a plane without a passport or to coins two rub together you get a place to stay and free food; all at the expense of the tax paying citizens.
Quote:Ireland’s anti-immigration backlash has spiralled into country-wide unrest in recent months after a sharp rise in the number of foreigners arriving onto its shores. Protests, arson attacks and hardening anti-immigration views have transfused Irish politics with a fervour not seen since the Troubles. Freelance journalist Michael Murphy went to Ireland for the Telegraph to find out what Irish people make of the growing strife.

We’re in big trouble and the amount of people that can’t see it is disturbing. The Americans supporting this that aren’t Muslim are in for a rude awakening. There was an isis terror cell busted this week in Michigan, go figure. Sad to say but scary times ahead.
Apparently I’m in cult now, someone here told me so.

We need be wary of media or press reductionist misdirection.
Mr Penstone's observation the "state of the UK today 'wasn’t worth' winning the war for", indicates his awareness and understanding of the state of the nation goes far deeper and broader than intimated by Mr Ray. When Adil Ray asked Mr Penstone to explain what he meant by his comments, Mr Penstone's response was not the desired response. In my view, Adil Ray used passive aggressive narratives to guide Mr Penstone to counter with comments about immigration. Adil Ray tried to tag this man racist. Mr Penstones response, “What we fought for was our freedom, now it’s a darn sight worse than when I fought for it.” is in fact, a damning indictment that placed no direct blame on anyone. In so doing, he infers wide failure of generic government policy. When I see in the press or hear in RL, comments by 'wrinklies', observations made over a lifetime of experience and compare that with soundbite and meme nonsense I hear uttered by younger people, I lament the state of education. Designed not to teach but to indoctrinate. I see how public narratives point the finger of blame for all policy failure at previous generations and not at policy makers, who listen only to 'experts' in market manipulation. Had Ray enjoyed any success with his goading, he would have been able to discredit Mr Penstone whose comments would have opened new attacks on the elderly and how they are a millstone around the neck of the nation, out to destroy any chance the young have of building a life.

Yeah I noticed this from The Standard: Quote:Alec, from Tottenham, north London, explained: “What we fought for was our freedom and even now, it’s a darn sight worse than what it was when we fought for it.”https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics...57082.html See the phrase "this comes as?" It's propaganda "glue", mean to imply a deeper correlation even when there may be no such thing. Technically "not lying", as there is a temporal correlation. Once you notice this you'll see it everywhere. Headlines like "As [X], [Y] happens" are all over the place. Ironically, I suspect this kind of propaganda BS and narrative manipulation is much more what Mr Penstone was actually referring too, perhaps. The big problem is that he didn't really say what he meant with his comments... Quote:When he was asked to clarify what he meant by Mr Ray, he continued: 'What we fought for was our freedom, but now it's a darn sight worse than when I fought for it.' This is going to give anyone with an axe to grind, a platform for all their little gripes and hates, from failures of multiculturism, mass surveillance, to women's or gay rights. He could of meant a million things with his comments. "Denial is a common tactic that substitutes deliberate ignorance for thoughtful planning."
