9-11-2001 what time did you hear about it ?.

I have my pen-written journal entry from that day. I was getting ready to go to work, 20 years old, watching the news. [EST time]

11:59 am Tue Sept 10 11, 2001

F***ING SH**! The East Coast is in shambles... The World Trade Center is no more, the Pentagon has been damaged, and more:
A car bomb went off, or maybe a few... they don't know yet. We will probably go into World War 3.
I mean 3.0.
This is nuts.

That's the whole entry. What's weird is I definitely remember a news anchor talking about the car bomb, or a suspicious van, and several explosions. I've tried to find clips of the news on it after and couldn't ever find anything. I did find one clip of officers saying they heard an explosion, but then that clip disappeared.

I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing. My Daughter was born on 9-11-2000.

On 9-11-2001 I was sitting on the living room floor changing her diaper when the program was interrupted with the news of the first plane.

We were going to have a little birthday party for her and ended up not doing it. It just didn't feel right to have a celebration on that day.

I tuned in just after the first plane hit.
I watched the second plane hit live on TV.
Watched the news report the other two - Pentagon and SHanksville - live as it happened.

It was sometime around 9am for me and I heard the news at work.  I remember it seemed like only 15 to 20 minutes later before I heard about the second plane.  I had no cell phone back then. They showed everything on tv for a day or two.
