You lay down on the ground spread eagle at the first sign of trouble.
Any other course of action is a death wish.
Edit - I would never scuffle with cops under any circumstance.
When I was stationed at Hill, I was out with the wife. Had an open carry and got stopped by the cops. I kept both hands on the wheel when the cop came to the window. I told him I was armed, but it was on safety. He asked to see it, I slowly took it from my holster and gave it to him. He said, "Nice gun. (It was a Bursa) and gave it back to me and wrote me a ticket for speeding.
At all times, I was polite, respectful.
I did not get shot.

It does look like someone retrieved the gun from a holster.
And then it all goes pear-shaped....well, it was always going to go that way if you ask me.
But it could also have been him who pulled the weapon.
One has to ponder how that's possible, being restrained on the floor, by 5 people, whilst being punched/hit by another?
Again, we need more video evidence and witness accounts.
But it's a safe bet to suggest approaching the police, with weapons, during what appeared to be a rather heated situation, is a stupid idea.
And a recipe for death by cop if ever there was one.
Just saying what i have seen so far.
He wasn’t restrained.
His arms and legs are loose and he’s fighting with them.
Also looks like one of the cops took his gun before the shots.
If this still of the video is legit..

They literally pulled the subject off another protestor....
Looks to me like he has more than a magazine there. The outline matches the Sig, with the laser sight protruding from the top.

He doesn't seem close to the trigger with his grip though, which works against the accidental discharge theory.

Lol
I think if that was me, I would have said "I would feel more comfortable if you cuffed me and took it out yourself to look at it"
No chance anything going wrong that way.
Knock on wood but I have never been pulled over while carrying.

Most likely, a 37-year-old health expert isn't likely to scuffle either, yet something made this azzhat think he could channel his inner Rambo and give CBP a war they couldn't believe.

Well, the Nat'l Guard is being deployed.
To protect rioters, not ICE.

Well hopefully they will protect them from themselves.

Is the 11th Airborne still on standby?

Nuke it from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

I concur, I was wrong
I think what I saw was somebody's flashlight that looked similar to what's clipped on one LEO's back

Insurrection.
Putting American law enforcement against American law enforcement.
Let's see if Trump does what he should and federalizes the National Guard.
Hope he doesn't back down from that.
