If some industries contracted a bit, it may not be so bad.  

Less hospitality industry will be needed.

It can't automatically be assumed that the state is supporting the illegals but they may be displacing other workers into poverty.

Why import more fast food workers so they could serve one another on stamps? 

Do you lobby for the fast food industry?  Do you hold stock in the fast food industry?

100% and each industry is different, traveling salespersons has changed drastically, fewer and fewer spend the time on the road covering thier territory. Its a vanishing breed, and directly lessens the need for hospitality services.

Our building had close to 70% of the space leased pre COVID now it's at 55% and these are just 3 year leases, the minimum used to be 5 years.

Rumors It will contract to 3 floors instead of 7 and sublet/partner with a hotel/casino.

Back in the 90s one industry leased all 15 floors, hell they built 7 more floors on the building in the late 80s.

Theres business but there isn't the huge capital investment in this industry...

Am speaking from a UK standpoint but I think the vast majority of people do not have a problem with legal immigration.

When it comes to 'illegal immigration' then I guess the clue is in the descriptor.

........... I suggest making a legal pathway to citizenship. This can be done by:
1. Having a job and paying taxes.
2. Not commit serious felony crimes or risk instant deportation.
3. Must have been in the country illegally prior to 2024. 
4. Must register and follow up annually with Immigration Department.  
5. No government benefits until they gain citizenship. 
These are just a few policies I would like to see.

Think bigger.

Q: Why would so many western countries facilitate the immigration of millions of fighting age men against the wishes of the population?

A: To have a good supply of soldiers to fight an upcoming war with who would gladly fight to obtain their citizenship. (suckers).

Why waste all the investment over the years in schooling to produce educated workers who would die in a war when you can use imported slaves as cannon fodder instead to protect the weak minds and hearts of the natives too scared of REAL confrontation.
