Maybe some people think Young Frankenstein was funny because of a great cast of actors and actresses including Marty Feldman and a superb comedic adaptation of a well known and famous story. It was also a bit more than "slapstick".

And perhaps Airplane was just slapstick.

Just an opinion.

Aliens is my fave film.  The subsequent ones, not so much.

Having said that, why the Hell didn't they have someone stay aboard the Sulaco?

My question is why not have an entire backup space marine unit on the ship? They went all that way and already had two dropships.  Why no rescue and medical staff if they were really invesigating a colony going radio silent.

Mayday! We have a plothole in the movie! We are going down!

Stil a nice movie though. Just could have been better.

And some back story for this one.

Airplane? Oh, you mean the remake of Zero Hour from 1957?

Then again, much of the fighters against the Death Star action sequences in the original Star Wars was from Dam Busters. Both very good movies.

No, I meant Airplane.

Otherwise, this thread could be about Star Wars.

Thanks for the recommendation though. Good to watch the old movies sometimes. Thumbup
