in france you cannot wear baggy american swimwear at public pools and such, due to the poor hygiene they can cause. you must wear speedo or some such as this



for the more shy is okay as long as it is skintight and shows "le packagè", and also no t-shirts are allowed

We had the same experience. My grandpa was a diver and wore a speedo. I tried to hide from him. My friends knew it was my grandpa and made fun of me! Haha

Well imagine if they wore loose fitting swim shorts and exposed themselves. So they get a pass as far as I'm concerned. Although nowadays the swim suit shorts seem to be more tight fitting, but this diver seems to be spreading his legs a lot and those swim suits do expand when wet. Just saying.

I think DTOM should close this thread, we all are in agreement to ban them but this is just getting silly. If you like to eat a Snickers upside-down, thats well and good, just dont do it in public unless its on a crowded train,...

There's a reason why they are still popular ... because men with nice bodies still wear them and it's eye candy for some.

We all seem to be in agreement that people with not so fit bodies should not wear them.

The wife and I don't go down to the beach and swim hardly ever anymore.  Someone could drown from fear thinking we are whales, hippos, or Walruses in the water. 

So to keep those on the beach safe, we go there with clothes on abd stay out of the water.
