Not surprising as the Catholic Church claims that everyone is accepted to be part of the Church and there is plenty of room for everyone unless you're gay and want to become a priest. The Pope was actually referring to the ban that has been put in place to prevent homosexual men from becoming priests.
The Pope apologised for using this 'offensive' and 'vulgar' term but we all know he did it under pressure and to be politicallly correct. He and many others in the clergy believe that ****s (according to them) shouldn't become priests.
In line with the tradition of the church and the Christian dogma that regards homosexuality as a very serious sin. I could go for longer but let's not provoke the Christian audience.
If homosexuality is a barrier in becoming part of the clergy what about the kingdom of God? Are you not going to heaven because you happen to be homosexual? It's a rhetorical question but I am sure it can be literally made and there could be a number of people who see homosexuality as a sin with severe consequences.
