Thirty percent drop in fertility of vaccinated women

In the Republic it had about a 70 per cent Vaccination rate . Since the rest of the world is probably about the same this might mean that we might be looking at another problem from the gift that keeps on giving. It looks like it might be time to rethink if you are a kindergarten teacher. Midwife etc. Rates of successful conceptions according to COVID-19 vaccination status: Data from the Czech Republic - Vibeke Manniche, Tomáš Fürst, Max Schmeling, Jonathan D Gilthorpe, Peter Riis Hansen, 2025

A better metric is the outcome for pregnant women who have had covid.
Quote:During the COVID-19 pandemic, maternal mortality rates in the U.S. nearly doubled in 2021, with a peak of 18.9 deaths per 100,000 live births, according to the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health

Notably, a fifth of examined countries saw increases in stillbirths...

and...
Quote:A preliminary study of thousands of children born during the pandemic has found that those whose mothers tested positive for COVID-19 during pregnancy had increased risk of a developmental disorder diagnosis during their first 12 months of life

...in the interest of fairness, JAMA published an article that disputed the finding. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanet...le/2824911

A meta-study (a study of studies... basically researchers hunt up every paper on the topic that they can find and do statistics on all the results (I have REALLY simplified things here to avoid a boring statistical and methodological lecture)) says that worldwide there were increased problems and deaths in both women and babies when the mother contracted Covid: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8012052/

And guys, Covid appears to affect your sperm Covid is not good for a man's sperm

So you should weigh the options... Covid is no longer being tracked, but as of last month the US had over 900 deaths from Covid (I believe most are over 65, but can't be sure.)  I realize that seems like a low risk, but we don't know how many active infections there were.  Six percent of all people who catch Covid will develop Long Covid.

And a final note -- we have 8.2 billion people on the planet.  That's about 3.2 times the number of people that were alive in what many consider the "golden age" -- the 1950's.   I'm not in favor of programs that set a "let's get back to xx number of people" goal, but I am not disturbed if the population dips a bit and stays at a smaller level than 8 billion.
