It's rather that certain claims, whether these are personal beliefs or purely subjective experience, are unfalsifiable. And as such they fall outside the scope of science. If science is to investigate a claim, it must at least be testable. If I step forward and claim that, for example, I can leave my body and fly at night only when nobody is watching, that claim cannot be empirically proven or disproven. The same goes for personal anecdotes of alien abductions or paranormal experiences. Science doesn't deal with them because there's no way to verify such claims.
Now, it's not the agenda of science to ridicule anything or anyone. Rather, it's the personal agenda of particular scientists who are on a materialistic sceptic's crusade.
The second text was quite interesting and I agree that many forums can be exploited by trolls, who use various manipulation tactics. To claim that they are all on the government's payroll is the leap of faith.
