I think you are right MM. I know there are tell tale signs of editing that can be picked up by the specialists in this field. I think AI is going to make it far more difficult for them. I watched a YT video a couple of weeks ago about the jellyfish ufo over the military base being critically reviewed by several digital video editors. If I remember correctly 2 thought it was the real deal and 1 thought it may be fake (his reason being he thought some frames looked like a man with a jet pack on). Each of them then presented a short clip and the other two had to say of it was fake or not. Out of the 3 clips the most convincing one to me turned out to be bugs bunny upside down!
