Trump deal to purchase Greenland?

If Greenland gets independence from Denmark then they will no longer be a member of NATO. One thing we seem to forget is that if the people of Greenland want to sell parts or all of their country, then Russia and China will then legally be able to put in bids too.

I can now see why the U.S. would want to invade and secure Greenland by force.
 

As a territory of Denmark, it is part of NATO, but Greenland is pursuing independence from Copenhagen and some experts fear that could open a door for Russia and China to gain a foothold in the country.
