I have a complete backup of the ATS website (all forums, threads and so on). Its currently just for my personal reference as there was some great threads on there, but perhaps in time it would be worth sticking it onto a torrent. Although, I'd like to avoid copyright infringement issues/legalities...

Wow, amazing! Have you considered Bibliotheca Pleyades? They are like a niche way back machine/internet archive for exactly the kind of topics that used to be posted on ATS. They seem to be pretty relaxed about copyright issues - see disclaimers in link above.

Might be worth getting into contact with them about this.
