Your insights were awesome and picked at some spots I hadn't considered before in terms of metaphor. It is such a complex metaphor after seeing the replies in this thread, and finally yours!
Yes we share the periodic elements, sands of time, and the geologic malleability of sand. Also consider the father of sleep and dreams, The Sandman himself.
I'd also never considered the vibrational nature of it as shown in your vid. Vibration is everything when it comes to entering an Out Of Body Experience--so much so that I always emphasize Robert Monroe's term 'vibrational state.'
The vibration is acting on us, morphing something in us to facilitate the OOBE, just as the sound vibrations make different patterns in actual sand mandalas. Brilliant!
