Immigration 2025

Thoughts and non-solutions.

It's not like they're at record numbers or percentage of the population. Actually 11.5 million undocumented is lower than 2008, when we had over 12.

I think it's a purposely exaggerated problem using the same scapegoating tactics as every autocratic takeover. I can't let the overblown purposely sensationalized aspect of this go.

Covid is over. The global recoil recession is gone. Our numbers jump massively ever time the globalized economy has a downturn. This is like going to the zoo on Saturday and proclaiming a population increase because there are more people there.

It's a racheted up issue made to seem dire, and taking tactics beyond those taken during Bush or Obama is unnecessary.

Yeah there are 11.5 million, but percentage-wise it's still well below 2008.

So why weren't people cheering for heavy-handed cruel immigration then?

Because they weren't yet told to be pissed at it. It was still all about a birth certificate and socialized Healthcare. Illegals, though being in higher numbers were not being used as a centerpiece rhetoric issue yet.

As far as the illegal ones that didn't go though proper channels. I say being from an actual Banana Republic, like Honduras, is enough.

"What are you're reasons for declaring asylum?"

"I'm from Latin America, where you get killed for being the neighbor of a cartel target."

"Welcome."

I also think we owe it to Central America. We did sort of instill a lot of puppet contra governments to start a domestic war of racist inner city drug interdiction, after all.

l really don't like the ones that are already here, settled, and working, being threatened, and the people refusing to help round them up being threatened. Makes me sad.

Shut the border. We can't stop that, but we can refuse to participate in rounding them up.

I realize I can't up and move to Europe. EU countries are surprisingly hard to expatriate to, including needing to prove financial viability even for Americans, but it's always going to be a two-tiered system.

The wealthier you are, the harder it is. And I still think the tempest tossed huddled masses apply to downtrodden Latin American gang havens and oppressive Muslim shitholes.

One of my grandparents, parents came from Syracuse in 1898. Just needed to wait in line and give a name. And they didn't screen for any cosa nostra ties or anything.

I think we have something similar to that here. Only instead of waiting in a New York Harbor to get processed they give they're name to the border patrol. Who then gives them a court reference number and releases them. They only problem is one of processing ability.

Not like they all need shelter or handouts. Just process them and let them call their family member already settled in the US. They stay here like 2 days, find the cousin who can get them the job, and they're gone. Rarely to be homeless.

Which is another point worth bringing up. The war fleeing ones, the ones from destroys middle east slums with no American connections are the ones that end up homeless and bilking the system, and the Latin ones everyone wants gone are the ones that will contribute to the economy most.

Everyone makes exceptions for the displaced war torn refugees when they are the ones putting the greatest financial strain on government and charities.

I could go on, but that's enough elaborating on my bitching.
