Joe's story is interesting, it started with an NDE and from what I have been reading it's pretty common.
Remote viewing and "regular" OOBE's sounds like the same thing to me, both leads to astral projection and that in itself is just another form of ritualized magic. The solo kind that can be performed on the bed or couch.
