No, you don't want to believe, you want some sort of proof that the government is not going to give you at this time.  Nothing I say would convince you of what you internally must seek.  They must keep you hanging until you have safely internalized that the aliens may/might/could actually be here.  Then, they will drop another shoe to help carry you over into acceptance.   --That is the way the system works.
