I'll put it in this thread because this where my comments are.
So last night, or more specifically in the wee morning hours, when San Diego Intl is under noise curfew, and no aircraft are due until the cargo flights start arriving around 4 AM, there was a drone over the USS Midway Museum. Over the bay between North Island and Seaport Village for about an hour.

It appeared to stay in the same airspace tourist and police helicopters use when operating over downtown, offset from the airport approach path.
Gotta love a threat that adheres to safe operations around major airports and stays within designated airspace...
And then returned to its unknown starting point, which take your pick on around here. Lots of military airstrips.
Or even a hobbyist taking off from the beach with 1/3 scale RC plane?
