This is why I still watch all the “Ghost Adventures” style shows. Even though it is so completely fake, it is a “real” video which makes it so much better to me.

There's really a lot to it and it's not just about real and unreal. Acting is an artform where masterpieces can be created and enjoyed, and that's one thing. It can be based on real events, fiction, or fantasy. We understand it's not real if we think about it, but the idea is to just lose yourself and go along for the ride. Some acting is so good it may as well be real even though it's not i.e. a well formulated example of realism.
And then you got some guy with his phone or a go-pro getting some insane footage of UAPs, or cryptids like those transparent entities from the Predator movie, and uploading to YouTube. Now that's real, but like you say, with AI and technology these days it's getting harder and harder to tell, but you know what I say? Ignorance is bliss. So, on the one hand you know something is fake, and the other maybe you're not so sure, but think most times we have a pretty good idea one way or the other.
