But this version of me recalls that this alarming "breach" was discovered in August 2024... and I suspect they "knew" about Salt Typhoon even before that.
It's amazing how DHS keeps the 'fear' factor going as if to maintain 'unease' as a perpetual flavor of communicating online.
No one knows the hardware as well as those who actually make it. Of course they can exploit it better than most anyone else.

Once you start realising that nothing in electronic communication is private, you stop caring.
Especially when the OPM had all your personal info and was hacked years ago.
Especially when even if you were not in gov service, everything is hackable and no one cares to make sure the police are not misusing their power either.
I expect to have my private life private offline, i don't want cameras or microphones around me.
That said, i have no expectation of privacy if i put something into an electronic communications network.
The Chinese spam me with those texts from 'women' I 'know' all the time trying to do lord knows what. I got tired of playing with them , now it's just autoblock.
What is that, 'pig butchering' texts? something like that
