I think there's no way to tell unless they catch the guy. The idea of it being a targeted hit to cover tracks is not implausible. I'm not convinced that the shooter was some kind of professional assassin. Since UHC denies over 30% of all claims, the highest percentage in the industry, there are probably hundreds of thousands of people with motive to commit this act. The idea of him not having security is not too strange; an attitude of invulnerable narcissism is not uncommon among corporate executives, especially in the more ruthless industries.
