I want a no tag though so I can print my own label inside it. I'll holla back next week with the info. I won't know the # units so I realize you probably can't price it. I need some samples at retail would be fine initially. But I am going to bid gov. contracts so each job will be different anywhere between 2,000 to 20,000 pieces. US made or Canada & Mexico are approved as well. Plenty of lead time (2 to 6 months to secure the blanks). I'm teaching Grok on X how to write the bids.......lol
I have no doubt it there are multiple qualified suppliers in Mexico, especially at the ceiling of 20,000 units
it's about finding ones with good reputations for consistent product quality,on-time delivery, and maintaining stock on materials to do large runs
This happened years ago...
Our apparel has a seasonal quality to it so it can be time-sensitive, we designed a sample of a lace dress, and it had a nice light and delicate lace perfect for springtime we took loads of stock orders it was our number one style. In the first season, the stock is perfect and it's our #1 style, so we do huge reorders, add colors, etc. Well, the new shipments came in from the manufacturer and they substituted the light delicate lace with a bulky heavy lace with a tight pattern and it was awful it killed the style and ruined any momentum we had. The manufacturer said their supplier raised the price of the original lace so they went with a "new" one. Don't think that's a huge issue with t-shirts though but there has to be some variance,
I would love to do government contracts. The closest I ever got to that is sometimes a PX would purchase a few gowns for a military ball. I then would use those contacts to approach the PX's on other bases but it was never a huge business,
Already looking at AI for sales presentations tailored made for different clients but there is so much more
I need to stick my nose in the production and management side, with AI there are no doubt dozens of tasks that can be automated, hell, with the right parameters it could help design our different samples and styles because in our nuanced social occasion apparel side, thats the hard part making sure you have plenty of new, updated fashion forward styles while still highlighting the best sellers. There is a balance and if you stray in the wrong direction it can handcuff your business.
