Like Maxmars, I also consider myself unqualified to help, however, you asked. If I were moving a company to a more friendly and viable part of the country, I would consider Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, perhaps New Mexico, Arizona and other rural-ish type states. I would avoid cities. I think cities are toxic. I think rural places mostly pull together, and I think that makes for a more healthy community. Denizens of the cities have the luxuries, apparently, to run wild, and discover all manner of things to get mad about. Folks of the rural areas mostly get up, have breakfast, go to work, go home, have dinner and watch TV until bedtime and then do it all over again. They tend toward gatherings during the weekends, and an sporting events. In other words, life. I would avoid the cities, but that's just me.
