Trump to withdraw from the WHO

There are many abuses therein.

However, the idea of the US being the "police of the world" is hyperbolic.

We live in the world.
We cannot prosper or function as an isolated entity for very long.
There is a balance that could be as beneficial as we would want it to, without having to kowtow to commerce as a form of religious pursuit, or becoming the isolationists hyperbolic activists proclaim we would be.

The abovementioned entities are all common in that they represent hundreds of billions of dollars in private interests.
They wish the continuity of governments, because most of them are "in" government... so it works out that no speaks of a world without their 'authority.'
In their minds, there simply can't be another way.
They've hired enough experts to make it seem so.

I have this discussion with my other libertarian friends.  There is a lot of variation from someone like me who’s more isolationist to other individuals who are full on "we need to protect our currency/ world police."

i think we should focus on domestic oil and production. Get the heck out of Europe and the Middle East.

Help with Japan, Philippines, and Taiwan as China tries to be very aggressive … But other than that… nah.

we need to fix our infrastructure and manufacturing.

we are broke and deeeeeeeeep in debt. Which can easily spiral into very troubling times.
