This is how it always goes, isn't it? Mention bias, and it all becomes a matter of "perspective", us and them, and if you ask why, it it's all about lambdas, planking, and cold dark matter models. Okay. I'm not even going to go there. So you like spinning balls, think that makes sense. But the model doesn't quite work, so we have to account for distorted space-time! Oh, but that doesn't quite work, so we have to account for dark matter! Oh, but that doesn't quite work, so the universe is now 30 billion years old instead of six! It just goes on and on.
I'm sure you can see the maze. And it's a fun maze, isn't it? I sort of like it too. But it doesn't prove anything. At the end of the day, it's only models, with infinite refinement. You may find it useful to carry a globe around in your car to navigate, but I find a flat folding map to be much more convenient and sensible.
