I almost thought that this was people acting like Secret Service agents, but then realized that if that was the case then why wasn't this reported as a robbery? If it wasn't Secret Service agents, then wouldn't the Secret Service want to also know who is going around acting like them and causing issues like this? Instead, they can't come out and say that they had nothing to do with this.
It's like the Secret Service has no idea what they are doing to the point of not knowing if they broke laws, did their jobs, or even who is or isn't an agent. If this event and a failed assassination attempt has shown is that maybe an interservice purge should take place in the Secret Service, if not a complete cutting of the Department altogether. US Marines can expand their White House duties to full time guarding the President instead of the Secret Service, and the US Marshals can take over the investigation parts for the Treasury Department.
