Zero is THE origin, and the spaces between it and anything else is also important because they hold no definition so have incredible potential.

I'd like to know who came up with the symbolism since it appears quite fitting. Zero is not a number, it is nothing. Zero(0) is the circle. it is chaos and it transcends reason. It symbolizes eternity as that without beginning or end.
