Don't get me wrong I love reading about specific topics (as well as certain video presentations) but I can't personally see the difference when it comes to your criticism of 'video'.

My main problem with videos is the timing, as they usually take a long time to give the same information that could be read in less time.
Video (and audio) force us to go along their own time, while reading is something we can do according to our time, and it's easy to reread a sentence or a paragraph, while doing that with video takes longer.
