The 4 Bs, about time I think
#1
So, it’s a new thing
No dating,
No marriage
No sex
No babies
and turns out this is a real thing
A woman’s movement that has sworn off men

I wonder if this attitude leaches into everyday life as well.
No men to help around the home, not allowing a man’s opinion in life, where does it stop

I can see a rise in Western men engaging women from other countries, can see those numbers significantly rise

Sad thing is, now I am a bit older, women who don’t have children at my age seem to carry a burden of loss, of what might have been
Having said that, know a few women who wish they didn’t have kids

Us vs them, what a society we live in
I am inclined to think those 4b women won’t be missed
Good luck girls, sincerely good luck

As a first generation feminist Democrat, I went... "4B?  Huh????  Never heard of it (neither has anyone else I know.)

Soooo -- the reason we haven't heard of it is that it's a Korean movement. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024...rump-women

Conservative men have reported that they have trouble finding women to date and marry https://www.aei.org/articles/are-conserv...get-dates/ in part because women (overall) tend to be somewhat more liberal than men (let's face it, the life of a 50's housewife is why so many of my mother's generation turned to drugs and drink)

This is somewhat true globally... think of the life of women in hardcore Muslim countries -- many want OUT of the burka and into the kind of lifestyle that most American women have (in other words, for the culture of their country they are liberals.)  City women and educated women tend to prefer centrist or liberal men... and you might want to note that more women than men are now getting college degrees.

Angry women here in the US have talked about embracing the 4B movement -- not forever, but until they get back on an equal footing.  The ancient Greeks had a play about something similar -- Lysistrata. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lysistrata)

Anyway, it's not a big part of the liberal culture.  I don't see it as a lasting or permanent move though it may give liberal and centrist men an even bigger advantage in the dating environment.

There was a big dramafest over on Reddit about 4B after Trump won. It spilled out onto Twitter and TikTok. Hence the media discovering it.

I can't imagine a sadder fate then to come of a mind to utterly reject the joy and love of a relationship with someone who wants to nurture a family with you.  This, is ultimately, what they are abolishing in the expression of their choice.

I know that many different cultures adopt habits and traditions that restrict the freedom any person, including women, should have... and I suppose the "4B" movement is the pendulum swinging away from the center of the beautiful balance between two people devoted to each other... but it just doesn't seem like a recipe for peace and fulfillment.  Only a kind of sterility (no pun intended,) which deprives them of things I have found to be the very essence of living.

Since I am not a woman, and only an American, I guess I will have to wait patiently for someone to tell me exactly what these principles remedy... (the cynic in me says this is a 'spite' movement... but that's probably a hyperbolic reaction.)

Korean society has tangible bias against women... but time changes many things, and I thought there was hope for the misogynists to simply die off...  that sounds colder than I want it to... but like the solution to all entrenched oppression traditions... those who embrace it are mortal and will all die eventually.  The children might then bring healing and peace... assuming they're taught well by previous generations.

No judgements here...
No celebration either.

To be fair, men have their equally pathetic MGTOW movement. Not to mention incels but their celibacy is involuntary.

It should be simple. Don't want to live in a relationship? Don't live in a relationship. Don't want to have kids? Then don't have them. There's no need to add ideology to that.

Sounds sapphisticated.

Western men feeling slighted by a growing number of American women deeming them mostly worthless should try Japan.

Although they have their share of the anti-men thing going, a significant gender gap, a past culture of geishas, and a collective hentai fetish, the "Lost In Translation" male fantasy (where Bill Murray actually gets that girl) is more possible than one might think. Especially during an animist fertility festival (Kanamara Matsuri).

Especially with there being 3 million more women than men, and Japanese men being seeing as being work-obsessed and emotionally unavailable.

Or one could convert to Islam and just buy a wife at a bride auction for sheiks filling out their harem.

Joking aside, why 4B was searched in the hours after the election:

Two men seen as entrenched chauvenists of the patriarch were elected over a woman.

I don't understand these things at all, what happens when everyone is old? Is the plan to die in filth from starvation?

Every person needs three more to survive, there are no factories of cloning vats...it's too late.

I approve of this plan.  It's genetic superiority in a nutshell.  Just imagine how the world would evolve with this idea in the forefront.  If wemon would only copulate with certain leaning individuals their species would experience a significant death before complete absolution of the philosophy, then complete sterilization of opponents that would then lead to overwhelming population of enemies and would disappear relatively quickly.

I Think within three generations everything their democracy stands for would be washed away by the new events our children face.  It's a self solving problem.  Like "homosexuality" (sarcastic, and extremely cynical non scoped view, historical arguments, I laughed at in my youth)
I seriously hope I don't offend but that was the claim in my youth that I disagreed with even then.

But seriously it's a single generation problem that can't pass the test of intelligent humans.

Basically our problems on both sides don't matter to our kids and so history dissolves and new generations make new content for new people and everything starts over.
