Its not so hard during those events to see a lot of aircraft everyday...even in Las Vegas as most of the flights originate from and return to Nellis. Outside of that you never know what or when you might catch a glimpse of aircraft out there. These days I am most intrigued by Tonohpah as from what I hear that is where a lot of the drone testing is happening...the is a small airstrip out there along with a small complex. I have been following Dreamland for years and they probably have the best content I have seen from the NTTR and its multiple sites.
Question for you...Is the 'dreamlandresort' website yours, or are you just a contributor to it?
Just curious because there are some pretty fantastic photos in the archives which must have taken years to compile (decades even), and some of those photos are taken with some pretty spectacular camera gear, given their resolution framing and focus. Capturing a high resolution image, up close, of a fighter jet moving at 300-400mph is not an easy proposition by a long shot! And, given what I know about the area where many of those photos were taken, photographers can spend months just trying to get photo of a single aircraft. Just the Red Flag sections of the archive alone are packed with hundreds of such photographs which is almost a lifetime pursuit.
If you are that photographer, then you rank right up there with some of the greatest photographers who have ever stood behind a camera, and my hat is off to you, sir!
