We the First CAV kicked butt in Cambodia and as a result for a couple of months afterwards we were not mortared or had rockets landing on is while we were sleeping .

Lam Son 719 was a grand plan to have the S. Vietnamese airlifted into Laos to break the North's supply lines; 1000 Army helicopters participated.. The North knew we were coming and kicked the invasion's butt. Most reports say before Lam Son 719 ended we lost 600 helicopters.

I did Cambodia but left before 719 started; the guys who lived through that fubar operation were never the same IMO.

First of all maybe you don’t want to hear it but I, just a random person on earth appreciate so much your sacrifice in serving our country. I have the utmost respect for service members especially combat veterans.

Second thanks for posting that video I am going to try and find the book to read because I'm pretty interested in the Vietnam War and it sounds like a good read.

Third can you imagine I mean it takes my breath away seeing all these young strong men with their whole lives ahead of them just cut down in their prime. Can you imagine the families of those 11 men still missing? They never got closure. I mean by now of course probably but I know if my loved one went missing in a war even if odds were good they had been killed I would still hold out hope.
