The new leader of Reform UK was leaving the Wetherspoons Moon and Starfish pub in Clacton-on-Sea, where he is standing to be an MP, when a young woman in a grey hooded jumper threw a drink in his face before throwing the cup at him then walking off.
It appeared to be a McDonald's milkshake.
Essex Police said they had arrested a 25-year-old woman from Clacton after responding to a report of a drink being thrown at a man in Marine Parade East at around 2.10pm.
Nearly two hours after the incident, Mr Farage appeared in front of the Reform UK bus with a McDonald's banana milkshake and said: "My milkshake brings all the people to the rally."
Mr Farage had launched his election campaign just hours before the milkshake incident. The general election in the UK will take place on Thursday the 4th of July and it is expected the Tories, i.e the Conservative Party that has been in power since 2010, to suffer significant loses and obliterated in this election. The UK polls predict the biggest ever Labour win.

Nigel Farage is well known for his populism and rhetoric that was successful to some degree a few years ago that resulted in the UK voting to leave the European Union with a number of empty promises and a lot of fearmongering over immigrants and illegal immigration.
Now that the Tories are set for a wipeout the former leader of the UKIP Party has now become the leader of the Reform Party starting his campaign with a refreshing milkshake! The Architect of Brexit and a good friend of Mr Trump.
