Monsanto Employing Troll Army To Silence Online Dissent? - Karl12 - 11-20-2024

Well this was an older thread over on ATS (with many defunct links) but thought it definitely deserved a repost as the subject remains incredibly important - also makes a person wonder why corporations like this are not prosecuted for spreading 'disinformation'.

• Monsanto Employing Troll Army To Silence Online Dissent?

Following on from revelations in this video about officially sanctioned government 'troll training programmes' it also looks like Monsanto has also been making a huge, concerted effort to control the exposure of certain information and hoodwink the general public.

Quote:Biotech giant Monsanto is being accused of hiring, through third parties, an army of Internet trolls to counter negative comments, while citing positive “ghost-written” pseudo-scientific reports which downplay the potential risks of their products.

The documents emerged during pre-trials on 50 lawsuits against Monsanto which were pending in the US District Court in San Francisco.

Monsanto Paid Internet Trolls to Counter Bad Publicity

Always thought paid shills were the lowest of the low and apparently the court documents show how Monsanto employed an army of internet trolls to literally "Let Nothing Go" - no article, no comment, no social media post is to be left unanswered by these third party proxies.

Pretty disturbing stuff and considering Monsanto's merger with IG Farben's Bayer a while back and their extremely close connections to Bill Gates (and the Rockefellers) then perhaps it's not surprising that they now control one quarter of the world’s food supply.

If anyone is unaware of the history of Bayer then there's a good breakdown below.

It is hardly surprising that the first thing Bayer did after completing their takeover of Monsanto earlier this month was to announce that they were dropping the Monsanto name, merging the two companies’ agrichemical divisions under the Bayer Crop Science name. After all, as everyone knows, Monsanto is one of the most hated corporations in the world. But Bayer itself has an equally atrocious history of death and destruction. Together they are a match made in hell.

The 'revolving door' between government and big business is also a huge corruption factor and although a bit dated these Venn diagrams give a good idea of just how bad the problem has become (Monsanto second to bottom).

Looks like they've known since 1985 that their product was extremely dangerous (possibly lethal) but decided just to lie about it.

Extremely large fines don't seem to deter these people so suppose extremely long jail sentences are needed instead.

They don't exist any more, owned by a German pharmaceuticals company now.  Posts like these hurt them enough that they dropped the name.

I remember a presentation in a past life that we had to sit through where it was explained that this new client isn't evil and it's just business.  Imagine you run a company where anyone that wants to do business with you first has to workshop their staff to tell them it's okay.

edit: I see you did mention it in the OP, reading comprehension fail from my end

Yes lots of corporations acting like psychopaths these days and regarding MoBay looks like the EPA and corporate media also colluded in covering things up.

Pretty hilarious that they paid 11 billion dollars to keep everyone out of court but still maintain their product is 'safe' lol.
