Mommy, what is he doing? - Sirius - 11-13-2024 I woke up with something running into the corner of the room. Just a glimpse, a shadow, but there is nothing there. There is nothing there, I just woke up, paralyzed. Paralyzed? It's just sleep paralysis again and I'll just relax and go back to sleep calmly. SUDDENLY - My wife sits up next to me asking where our son is? Points to the corner of the room where there is nothing and says "Oh, there he is." Falls back down and continues sleeping. Naturally I'm going through some emotions at this point and still paralyzed, so I tried to move and can only manage to get my arm shaking. In the past I managed to break out of it when threatened. It's not working, but I have to keep trying. "Mommy, what is he doing?" A little girl asks that wasn't there HOLY $@#$ my mind broke a little bit at this point and survival instincts kicked in at 500% Wish I could tell you what happened after that, at some point I could move again and immediately went to go check on my son. He was watching youtube in his room, 11PM not even that late. That was one of my more disturbing SP episodes. Can you remember how your sleep paralysis episodes end? What did you do after and how did you feel? RE: Mommy, what is he doing? - UltraBudgie - 11-13-2024 These are terrifying. The most memorable one I had was coupled with repeated false awakenings. I felt like I was suffocating, and drowning, so I panicked and the scene changed. Then I felt like something was squishing me and I was trapped. I tried to squirm free but couldn't. After a few times of this, I actually realized I was dreaming and tried to wake up. I thought I did but I didn't. I tried to turn onto my side but everything felt like it was moving like vertigo but it wasn't. It reminds me of this optical illusion: I'd twist, some something would tear, and I'd think that I woke up but then a few moments later I was right back in the same place. It was very not pleasant. I eventually woke up still panicked and wandered around in a daze for a while, I still had the feeling that it might be a dream still and was afraid of snapping back to suffocating. I think it was apnea. I usually don't sleep on my back. I think we're usually sleep paralyzed so we don't kick the wife when imagining running in a dream, for example, but when sleep is interrupted and it is still in place it is horrible terrifying and the mind flips out. Perhaps. This was some strange stuff, tried capturing it in story form, but terrible writer. |
