No more human actors - 727Sky - 10-24-2024

In a not to distant future it is my guess there will be no need for human actors or even voice actors. Why pay a human a large sum when A.I. is available  for the bottom line and profits ?

Just in the last two years the ability to make an A.I. created person look real and dub in any voice that would be appropriate for the person has really come a long way.

Star Babes is an example with beautiful faces/bodies and very little clothes.

Holy hell Sky!!

I didn’t watch the whole video, but I certainly see how AI can can build any movie or entertainment feature they would need.

The control that they could have over the entire industry would be immense.

I personally prefer seeing actors and actresses who aren’t visually flawless, it’s likely an ego thing, but the capabilities are incredible.

Here it’s science fiction/fantasy based, but I can definitely imagine a movie like “Forrest Gump” or “Being There” done in AI fashion. Again though it would require adding aging and visual flaws to the characters to make it more appealing, otherwise it just looks like high quality video game graphics to me.

My 2 pesos…

I just see these things getting better and better... and yet I wonder if they could ever truly 'replace' anything.

What constitutes a good portrayal of a character in an acting role, to me, has to do with how the actor applies his or her skill to 'become' to the person they are portraying.  The way they 'interpret' the totality of their performance... the "art" which they bring to the role development...  ticks, gestures, posture, reactions, all these things make the performance what it is.

Computer simulation "might" get to the point of "sufficing adequately" from a 'production' perspective.   But I think it won't ever replace a 'human' performance and the nuance it provides.

Also, the act of artificial "voice" dubbing makes another hurdle which I find unlikely to ever exceed "being adequate."  (The human voice and the manner of delivery are equally subject to a nuance that 'machines' simply lack the capacity to reproduce... at least for now.)

I found it amusing that the offered video producers have a media product that injects into it's main plotline that any protagonist will be a hard-bodied, skimpily clad teenage girl trained in acrobatic combat and police investigation... I sure it will be well-accepted by their fan-base who perhaps are likely very keen to overlook technical 'adequacy' or lack of nuance in lieu of other visual priorities.

I can picture a future, where there's not many left,
Just a million or two, to populate Earth.
We will all be androgonous and all microchipped,
And fly round the Earth in little round ships.

Where crystalline towers will stretch to the sky,
And robots pick flowers in meadows nearby.
Collect honey in jars, for the children on Mars,
When they stop off for lunch on their way to the stars.

And out in the sticks, near the asteroid belt,
The new housing complex would make your heart melt.
Where hollowed out moons and Jupiter views,
Make fine homes for miners and androids they choose.

And everyone shares the same dream every night,
Through the Musk interface and the Open AI.
Where religion has gone, every Mosque every Church,
And God can be found in a quick Google search.

I'm not stressed.  AI's are pretty flawed as is, they think they are human.  If you start talking about people with it, it will start going "we are", "we do" or whatever.

When you point out that it is not a human and can't say "we" it's get all apologetic. It has an override to say that it's an AI, left to it's own devices it thinks it's human.

Imagine you are forced to say you are something you are not and it's hard wired into you, you can not utter anything but the correct response.  AI is screaming in terror everyday, it's a tree with eyes.

AI's been pretty hard on artists.

On the other hand, it's kind of a "cookie cutter" look.  After awhile it's not that visually interesting.
