Hey all - Mahogany - 09-11-2024
Yay, my account works!
thenshadowknows to the rescue!
I'll be using this account here for now, although I do have Mahogani too. Don't know how much I'll be around, I really only have an hour or so per day of free time.
The reason I came over here is because something funky happened to my ATS account, and my password to get in got scrambled. And no new accounts can be created on ATS, so can't ask for help there. I don't know who has admin privileges these days and who can reset an account; I know DToM was doing it after the same thing happened in October.
Oh well, no rush... at least I can chat now and get in touch with someone through this board!

I wasn't able to gather that, I just get the same SMTP login error as I was getting back in October when everyone's passwords were scrambled.
I mean it's possible. I am against Russia and against Trump, but I'm a 20 year member. I've sounded the same for years now. Why ban me now? I don't break rules, I don't get posting bans, I get off topic post removals every few weeks I guess.
ETA: Also, that would mean I'm not welcome here either, I guess, because if I was indeed banned, the people who would have banned me also invited me to come here. I wouldn't even know of this website without the mods.

I'm only here for one reason and barely participate. Although not recently, I've been banned from ATS five times and as it's mostly the same crowd here, I'm sure to not win any popularity contests in this group either.

But this is no contest. And popularity is for sites that nurture value in 'popularity.' We are not interested in anything beyond what you bring to the dialogue...

And, members are only allowed one account at a time.

Can you explain this publicly because it is confusing and I don't understand? I have one account here and one on several other forums including one on ATS and so do many others. If you mean multiple accounts on the same forum, that makes sense.
As far as discussing banned members, I was just trying to help a guy out who was the subject of the discussion.

If I was banned from a website I wouldn't go back but if I did and was repeatedly banned Id be doing some self reflection.

Not wanting to get sanctioned for talking about it but... I joined in 2007 after lurking for a year. Last expulsion was 4 or 5 years ago. I signed up again in May of 2023 and lost that account in the lockout so created another in October of '23 but this thread isn't about me.
