Hurricane Beryl - pianopraze - 07-06-2024 Hurricane Beryl is heading towards Texas. Should impact around Victoria, affecting Corpus Christi up to Huston. Austin and Dallas will also probably get storms as it works inland. Right now it is taking up most of the Gulf of Mexico: here is the predicted path: The earliest Category 5 hurricane - beating 2005’s Hurricane Emily. The earliest Category 4 hurricane - beating 2005’s Hurricane Dennis. The earliest hurricane so far east in the tropical Atlantic on record This is also the first time since 1966 we’ve seen a major hurricane before the July 4th holiday 3 dead in Grenada, 3 in St. Vincent/ Grenadine, 3 in Venezuela, and 2 in Jamaica. Prayers for those affected. RE: Hurricane Beryl - pianopraze - 07-07-2024 This is massive. From Mexico covering entire Texas Coast. anyone in Texas right now? Hitting/tracking just west of Huston. Huston going to get a lot of rain. RE: Hurricane Beryl - broccoli - 07-07-2024 It's coming right for me actually lol I'm not worried about it though. Sure everything will be fine just flooded. Houston always floods, Hurricane or not. The winds shouldn't be too bad. We had a Tornado a month or so ago go right up a highway here towards the center of houston was nuts, blew my moms roof off too I thought it was going to hit San Fernando last night when I was watching it head straight for it then it just stopped and gained a bunch of strength and made a 90 degree right angle turn towards Houston. Don't worry all will be well. RE: Hurricane Beryl - FlyingClayDisk - 07-08-2024 Thoughts and best wishes go out to those in the path of this storm. Be well! I'm kind of hoping this storm pushes some much needed moisture up Colorado's way. I hate to say this but a hurricane sounds absolutely glorious about right now, despite the destruction...at least there would be some water. Doesn't look like that's going to happen though, quite the opposite. |
