Longer answer, unless we learn something new about the forces of nature, probably not.

Just my opinion, of course...

Ok, hopefully we wont read news about massive earthquake next few days ...fingers crossed ?.

Storm has been raised to a G5 now, do not know what time they did that.  Clouds are glowing and kind of pulsing here in the U.P of Michigan but that is all we can see here from our house.  At least the clouds are absorbing the energy, better than having high voltage generation on the power lines which could overload the system.

I honestly hope I never see it at 33°, because that means it's approaching the kind that fry out the electric grid.

For those like myself with an irrational Carrington Event fear they really need to invest in a rapid kill switch to the entire electrical grid in the event of a doomsday CME.

It has to be Plausible.

When I was 6 (1989), before we fled the throughway rustbelt, there was a massive geomagnetic storm. The one time I have seen the aurora. I don't remember being without power, but I remember the Quebec Blackout being a big deal.

I think I have subconsciously lived in fear of CMEs since.

Now I have seen it twice. Went out for unrelated reasons, and as I was walking, I was corrected, our marine layer isn't usually pink.

I am at 32.75° latitude. Surprised it's strong enough to see it in the center of Downtown San Diego. Wow!

Okay ... got up at 2am to look and see if there were northern lights.
But it was clouded over.
Reading reports this morning of northern lights all over the country.
Even as far south as Key Largo Florida.
And we missed them!!  UGH.

You and me both!  I kept going outside throughout the night ("fortunately" I have a some form of sleep disorder) and clouds, clouds, clouds...

My wife and I used to have a running gag that such things as eclipses, meteor showers, auroras, etc. are all myth!  We only ever see clouds!  Biggrin

No, that's not a thing to worry about. This would only impact electronics and communications. The forces behind earthquakes is an entirely different thing.

No chance here in Anchorage. Nothing but clouds.

But frequenting the internet has left me with a lot of exposure to 'doom'... and I fully expected a rash of "the world is ending" media pieces out there.  Yours was not.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the proliferation of "doom" thoughts and comments prevalent today either.

How the solar storms looked over the continental US from our satellites
 https://www.aol.com/prepare-next-solar-storm-140930241.html

The National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) says its five JPSS satellites supply most of the data used in weather forecasting in the U.S., orbiting the Earth pole to pole and around the equator more than a dozen times daily. The fleet first took to orbit in 2011 and is expected to remain functional through the 2030s.

This was the strongest geomagnetic storm to impact Earth since October 2003, categorized as a G5 — the highest level on NOAA's scale.

Hell Ive seen pictures from places well south of my local, we didn't see anything here, supposedly too much light pollution.
