When my Promethius gene app was combined with My Herritage DNA, I got access to the My Heritage site and it clearly shows I am one point seven percent Inuit genetics on my fathers side. They look where Europeans originated, my Ancestry data looks where people from the USA come from, so it does not show up on that. The genetics I got from that that I found are almost all metabolic related, I need more fish and seafood, wild deer and animals, and sourdough breads in moderation. I lack an antidiuretic hormone, so I guess the snow and ice is all yellow up there, and my Tachychardia, hyponatremia, and hypoglycemia are all related to that genetics. I see I worded that wrong and it may have been misleading as I have no native blood, but I do like many things about their culture. One of the first things my father taught me was pretty much the same. You shoot it, you eat it or don't shoot it unless it's self-defense. He also instilled in me an appreciation for how many things are not only edible but delicious and good for us. We grew all our own fruits and vegetables and my mother was an expert at canning and preservation. My father had a siege mentality after having lived through the Great Depression and WW2. We always had at least a couple of years of supplies and it had zero to do with any conspiracies, it was in his mind his duty as part of providing for us. I was working in the garden and orchard from the age of 9 and in return I could keep the money I made by selling what we did not use. It taught me how to provide for myself. OK, I'm rambling again. I prefer not to eat meat eaters, I like eating animals that are Vegetarians the best. Mate would love to agree with you but I don't. Didn't eat once for a few days in Greece and it's amazing how long held 'principles' get thrown out of the window when it comes to the 'gnawing hunger" If you don't believe me and have never experienced it then try it. It's horrible lol and the addiction to 'food' is worse than any crackhead. :It literally takes one week for any society to collapse. I don't actually eat because I am hungry, I eat because I was told to eat or eat just because the wife needs to eat. My oldest daughter is the same way, she goes a few days occasionally without eating with no hunger pains. But I need my coffee, Without it I get energyless. We stock some foods mostly to save money, stocking up on everyday foods and spices....and we have fourteen cans of coffee in stock right now, stock of coffee ranges from a low of ten to a maximum of eighteen cups on the shelves. They are between twenty six to thirty two ounce cans. The wife and I keep about ten to twelve months of food in stock for ourselves, but if something happened, it would only last us, my two daughters families, and my brothers family about three months with only eating what we need. There are a lot of deer around, but they would pretty much all be hunted out by people around here in a month or two if something major happened. There are more deer in the U.P of michigan than there are people living here. People can keep a deer frozen during winter in a shed or garage. I have the advantage of a low body temperature, which kind of means I digest things slower, and I can eat less and with longer time between eating, as long as the food is nutrient dense that I eat. |
