So demoralising yet poignant, Moon. War is damaging in every sense, however, your protagonist's decline could have been caused by any number of circumstances.

It just demonstrates how fragile we all are and how easily our lives can be rendered topsy turvy; and hardly ever for the better... bread always seems to fall butter side down?

Story-wise, I liked the various timelines overlapping.
