Yep, they were great. Later, in the UK they disappeared, too, but were replaced with wafer shells filled with sour powder. Good, but the same.

I would think the best part about collecting Hershey kisses would be that you can eat the duplicates...  Wink

Ahhh, Peeps...

I became addicted by the third Easter of my life.

Perhaps it's best to express this metaphorically, but Peeps are not "candy" in the same way as Pluto is not a "planet."

PS - -"Aged" is best, left for sometimes weeks... it becomes a taffy which causes a dopamine storm when you chew it.

You can also put multiple Peeps in the microwave and have them battle each other with lances of electricity.

All this sweet nostalgia brought back some other suppressed memories…

One that I’ve never seen outside of the UK; Cadbury Creme Egg. It’s all sugar and really tastes of nothing, but sugar… even the choc is pretty crap. However, it was a battle of wits to try and eat it without getting ‘egg’ on your face, hands, basically, everywhere… superglue can’t hold a candle to it.

The second one, everyone’s favourite and probably healthier than everything that’s been posted so far.

The biggest dilemma… Toffee or Red Candy?

I always preferred the Red Candy… if you have to ask why, just look left.

Really, I preferred the ones my mum would make with those make-at-home kits because she knew I was partial to Granny Smith apples, whilst, those at outdoor events always employed red apples, good, but missed the mark on tang & crunch.

Gotta be carmel apples ...
Can't deal with the red candy ones.
And here, sometimes the carmel apples are rolled in chocolate chips, or mini marshmallows, stuff like that.

Carmel apples ... mmmmmmm
