The man being accused of a potential third assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump spoke with Fox News Digital and says the claims against him are false in his first extended interview since his arrest. 

Vem Miller, 49, said he reported the guns to authorities, which he says he always travels with despite never using them, at a checkpoint to get into Trump's Coachella rally on Saturday evening and argued that documents Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco said were fake are legit. 

His arrest on gun charges sparked speculation, following two assassination attempts on Trump since July. But he was quickly released on $5,000 bail and so far, no federal charges have been filed.

Silly thought: Maybe the guy was bait for something... I wonder what?  Or was it an opportunity seized?  Those are incomplete questions, on purpose.

That or he was there to test The Riverside Sheriff's Department's readiness. Not really a threat to anyone but revenuers. Only agency that will look at him now is the IRS for being a Sovereign Citizen.

Unless Trump wins and abolishes it first?

I recall a number of rally photos that show Trump supporters doing open carry.

He's a sovereign citizen and had (according to one report) a fake paper license plate on his car, which is why he got stopped.  In his car were a number of clearly fake id's and passports with different names. https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/13/politics/trump-coachella-rally-man-arrested/index.html  In spite of what they believe, the government has laws against "make your own" license plates and no amount of verbal wrangling is going to get you out of trouble if you have fake license plates and a lot of fake id on you.

I'll be honest... the photo of him on the Newsweek article (https://www.newsweek.com/vem-miller-trump-assassination-attempt-coachella-1968401) is kinda scary looking.

So... no, just a sovereign citizen who is very much a Trump supporter and fan, with a fake license plate who tried to get in with (faked) journalism passes.

Much searching later reveals that yes, he's just an ordinary SC on a mission from G.L.O.D. or some such.  Makes announcements.

Tabloids go wacky over this.  Other news organizations go "sheesh."  Comedians gleefully rub their hands.
