During COVID and the attacks on free speech, social media platforms like Parler got shut down, so I joined Gab. I was clutching at straws, esp. with ATS showing signs of dying off, so I joined all kinds of forums. I found out very quickly that Gab was overrun with Neo-Nazi, white power racists, and I have been blocking everyone I see in my feed that fits that profile.

I found out later that this is how their "free speech" deal works: you are the moderating filter by using your block tool. So, I have gotten my feed pretty well clear of these racists; however, I still have to block people every time I'm on Gab. Some aren't as blatant and have slipped under my radar, so I scrutinize the profiles of some borderline posters to filter them out.

Any image of Hitler, Nazi's in uniform, or the ever-popular swastika will get you blocked by me very quickly, but some comments require a look at the poster's profile. Now, for some reason, these Nazis believe they are conservative, devout Christians, and this makes little sense to me because they hate Jewish and black people so much. Their beliefs are so extreme and dogmatic that they have become delusional IMO. But this last profile took the cake.

Apparently, this poster was defending the LGBTQ group on Gab, the only gay group there. They were telling others to ignore the group and let them be. I felt that an obviously liberal comment like that should be investigated, and guess what? This poster is a conservative, Christian, Neo-Nazi, homosexual! My jaw dropped when I saw the Nazi uniform and image of Hitler as I scrolled through the profile. Yet, they had links to movies on the Gay Pride Network and enough comments to make their preference clear. The cognitive dissonance of this profile had me gobsmacked!

I don't know what else to say.

There must be some very interesting afterlife book... documenting and explaining exactly
how people's minds work, when rationalizing their 'choices' ...

"Irrational" is irrational.

Do they actually live the life as a homosexual or are they attracted to the idea of homosexuality, rather are they actually bi-sexual or sexually curious. There really is no way to know a person's true self via the internet IMO, especially when you can hide behind the cover of being anonymous. Do they walk the walk? The same thought applies to the neo-Nazi claim that person makes, is it a fantasy desire for the falsely perceived power that sect portrays that is appealing because of a restricted Christian upbringing. A desire to break free from all constraints?

Some good points worthy of analysis. Still, I can't resolve the opposing characteristics of this identity that seems grafted together like some impossible chimera. A conservative Nazi? Maybe. I don't want to try and sort out the details, but I guess. A Christian Nazi? That is impossible to reconcile IMO, so adding conservative to that seems ridiculous. Now, add openly gay on top of all that unbelievable crap! Please, my head hurts!

I'm truly insane now. I just had the brilliant thought that the Democrats could have a new sub-culture minority to adopt and add to the liberal fold. That's for after they use up the ****s and illegals, then they have these gay Neo-Nazis as their latest disenfranchised sub-culture to boost up their constituency.

OMG! If that is your chosen identity, they could create a medical procedure to transition over to become a gay Christian conservative Neo-Nazi! Then have the government endorse it and issue grants to pay for it. Have Gay Christian conservative Neo-Nazi story hour at the local elementary! TV commercials that feature a gay Christian conservative Neo-Nazi couple. Haa. Haah. Haahh. Haahhhh!

I need help, please help me.

I must be "curious" as I have searched the Gab groups for LGBTQ and found many gay-conservative groups, all with only a few members. The largest gay group is called Gaymers (Gay Gamers) with 164 members. The rest quickly drop down to a few. At least 5 are calling themselves conservative, others call out specific political parties like libertarian, and most have no political affiliation.

Honestly who cares.  It’s a free world and you don’t have to deal with him, let him be the clown he is.   He holds no power over you or anyone else, go on with your day.   

After the last years of listening to the left call us every name in the book, censored speech, blamed everyone for the exact thing they’re doing, started keying each others cars, still can’t believe trump got them to burn and vandalize electric cars.  It’s been one stupid pr stunt after another, so what you’re complaining about doesn’t phase me a bit.  Don’t care what others do in their cosplay fantasies. I have zero time to give to morons like this guy.

Thanks for the heads up about Gab. 

As I recall, Parler didn't last long after Elon Musk bought Twitter.  Maybe conservatives simply went back to their old social media?  The point of Parler was to return to the days before Twitter and other social media started censoring content to please free-speech-hating, boycott prone leftists.

Parler is back and better than ever. My old account was still there and active. It has been back for a while now, at least nine months.
