There is no way to compare the JFK murder and the three days that followed...it was the USA and much of the world almost stopping regular activities.
Regular TV was gone until after the funeral.
Oswald shot live on TV.

I remember that my mother couldn't talk about it, like ever. My dad said the day felt like it stood still. I wish my dad had lived long enough to see the photo of Bush standing in the crowd! He nearly disowned me for voting for Bush! What an evil convoluted mess.

I remember realizing how deeply everyone had been affected... I started to notice how everyone in the neighborhood was acting... the closest thing I can compare it to was when the twin towers were attacked on 9-11. 

It was like for a moment, everyone, everyone, was caught in gasp of shock, and the world seemed to stand still. 
Of course, I was still too young to understand, watching everyone around the television, crying... the suddenly perpetual somber tones of every reporter... for days...

It shook me... even as a child.

911 is the only thing I'd know to compare it too!  I gone full retard on the 911 event. There's no way a plane took those buildings down. I realized when Space Ex Launched a few weeks ago! 
I at some point in my youth realized that Viet Nam was also going on and was mortified by the way our troops had been treated and watched every War Movies I could rent.  My mothers baby brother didn't make it back........my grandmother was never right after they returned his body and made them open the coffin.

I'm a CT and can't fully wrap my mind around the depth of evil.
