So recently an Israeli businessman went on US news to say that social media platforms must be reigned in with regards to Free Speech. All of them. He seems to think the “lies” some Americans believe about what’s happening in Gaza are “lies” that need to be subverted, er “controlled”. The chutzpah on this dude…

He seems to take issue with the fact (along with half his countrymen) that the Gaza War isn’t being reported, as um, he would like. Maybe it’s why Bibi has taken a shining to TikTok, YT, and now recently Meta in light of the narrative proving unfavorable. I guess that’s why Israel let in all those international journalists and the IDF hasn’t killed scores of journalists covering the war.

But yeah it’s a hill I’ll die on. Not social media mind you. But ANY foreigner that thinks they can tell Americans what to think and say. We are already circling the drain on critical thinking and statistal analysis as it pertains to oneself. Laughable to some of you who know this and have for awhile. Yet, something about an “informed citizenry”.

While this is my first stab at a thread, it harkens to so many others here, and fundamentally what we are all doing here in some form or another. To find out more about the truth.

More often than not, foreigners can see through the great divide with a more objective view where perhaps both sides are too emotionally compromised to see any narrative but the one they chose to follow. Of course, any opinion other than the one held in a tight fist will be met with anger and resistance, those minds can never be changed, but they aren't the majority, they are the minorities on both extremist sides.

Foreigners are also something of a canary in the coal mine for those who need a wake up call as to just how bad your stuff/trainwreck is viewed worldwide.
