A cable dated December 9 sent to all U.S. diplomatic posts said that typography shapes the professionalism of an official document and Calibri is informal compared to serif typefaces.

"To restore decorum and professionalism to the Department’s written work products and abolish yet another wasteful DEIA program, the Department is returning to Times New Roman as its standard typeface," the cable said.

Typefaces with serifs are objectively more readable than those without.

I have to say i do prefer the "Times New Roman" font as opposed to others.

At the end of the day, it's just preference.

I had some really draconian lectures back in the day that were font nazis.

Only willing to accept essays and reports in the preferred font.

Not really an issue for me, but other people, quite frankly, found them to be a pain in the arse.

I am not a fan of serifs. I find them annoying. 

I use Arial and Calibri mostly. 

This is what my taxes are paying for?

Here's Donald's lettering of choice. What wasteful font is this? How much did taxpayers fork out for all that new gold decorations. Of course they have to pretend to be saving taxpayer dollars. Don't get fooled again.

Yes that is an abomination. That is the font they use for the Champaign Room at strip clubs.
