#1
Dictionary.com has chosen their word of the year!

It is....

67 (pronounced six-seven)!

Some runners-up:
  • Agentic
  • Aura farming
  • Broligarchy
  • Clanker
  • Gen Z stare
  • Overtourism
  • Tradwife

I will redact my favourite, because it is too far ahead of its time and I don't want to upset the simulation.

What's your favourite? What should have made the list, but didn't?

Why?   Why are six and seven together a word and 'the word of the year?
I've never heard anyone say this.   Is it some kind of slang thing?

Quote:What does 67 mean?“67,” also spelled “6-7” or “six-seven” (not “sixty-seven,” to be clear), is a viral, ambiguous slang term that has waffled its way through Gen Alpha social media and school hallways. While the term is largely nonsensical, some argue it means “so-so,” or “maybe this, maybe that,” especially when paired with a hand gesture where both palms face up and move alternately up and down.
People also use 67 as a way to respond to questions or as a result of seeing the numbers “67” in consecutive order in the wild, such as on a math problem or within a phone number. (“How tall are you?” “67.” “How are you today?” “67.” “What’s 120 minus 53?” “67.”)
Because of its murky and shifting usage, it’s an example of brainrot slang and is intended to be nonsensical and playfully absurd.

It's South Park that's responsible for the slang becoming so famous.

But it does not predominantly mean anything.

You can trace it back to a rap video, but even the person responsible for the lyric said he was being vague.
"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

I could easily add to that list but I’m going to refrain.  Saint2  Spin

I looked at the AARP list of words added to the dictionary.

touch grass, v.: “To participate in normal activities in the real world, especially as opposed to online experiences and interactions.” (MW)

I try to touch grass at least once a day.
It helps to be barefoot;
less bending.
There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama

So 67 is the same as splunge or marfulbark.

There are days that I can't be sure if my 'tism is acting up and I'm not reading sarcasm correctly or if it's just my general distain for 15 second videos that I'm supposed to allow define reality for me... but when I was younger, I was quite sure that the referral towards a 67 was that it was just a one sided 69... Am I correct or did I miss a memo somewhere along the line?
