As far as the UK goes there are no finer and braver men in the country than the people of the Marines. They are trained to be super fit use their heads and have a moral compass. So what happens when a force of this prowess and integrity get compromised, by the present political establishment. One thing is for sure they will stick together and address the problem if it becomes a meme of national security.
One particular marine did a survey of his collogues on what they thought of political diversity in the recruitment process and training ie letting women pass even if they had not completed the hard training program to the usually high standards. This happened to him not quite Stalin Esque yet but definitely getting there.
