OPEN SECRETS - Lists lobbying money and donations by corporations

Obamacare, officially known as the Affordable Care Act, was enacted by a liberal government, expanded health insurance coverage, implemented more protection for patients, and reduced healthcare costs.
Insurance companies are a fundamental component of capitalism.

NBC, owned by the Comcast Corporation. Chairman and CEO Brian L. Roberts, and co-chairmen Michael J Cavanagh and Jason S. Armstrong are major media moguls and capitalists.

Brian L. Roberts, whose father Ralph J. Roberts was the original founder of the company, worked a deal with Bill Gates to expand their broadband network. also worked the acquisition of AT&T allowing Comcast to be the largest cable operator in the world. He then acquired NBCUniversal expanding their range.

In 2000 he co-founded Philadelphia 2000 which was a host committee for the 2000 Republican National Convention. He has donated to both Democratic and Republican politicians and PACS, but hasn't done so since 2012.

This makes him a very infuential capitalist.

Michael J. Cavanagh has worked for Citigroup, a multinational investment bank and financial servises institution. He then worked at Bank One Corporation as well as after it merged with JPMorgan Chase & Co. where he became the CEO and later CFO. Later on he was the co-COO and co-president of the Carlyle Group. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Affairs.

Another very infuential capitalist.

The CFA is an imperialist institution.

ABC, owned by the Walt Disney Company. Chairmen James P. Gorman and Bib Iger who are again capitalists.

James P. Gorman is a chairman emeritus of Morgan Stanley. He is a director of the Council of Foreign Affairs. He is also a member of the Business Council. He has been a director ot the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the president of the Federal Advisory Council to the US Federal Reserve, a co-chairman of the Partnership For New York City, and chairman of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.

So again, a very influential capitalist who has impacted governmental policy.

Bob Iger, previously the president of ABC,  and also president and COO of Capital Cities. He expanded Disney's IPs, quadrupled their market capitalization. Worked Disney's acquisition of Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and 21st Century Fox.

He has also been on the board of directors for Apple, Inc.

He  describes himself as a "centrist," and had previously registered as a Democrat until 2016 when he changed his registration to independent. That same year Disney found itself in hot water over labor law violations and ended up having to backpay the wages that it's employees had missed out on.

This same year he had been thunking about campaigning for the presidency, but decided to co-chair a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and at the end of the year and been picked by Trump for the a role in his Strategic and Policy Forum until resigned when Trump withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement.

CBS, owned by Paramount Skydance. Chairman David Ellison and President Jeff Shell. Again capitalists.

David Ellison, the son of Larry Ellison who co-founded Oracle (The shady AI company that now owns Tiktok) and is a Trump supporter,  is also a Trump supporter. There is currently plenty to read about the Ellisons and Trump. So, you including CBS in this list is absurd to begin with.

MSNOW, owned by Versant a spinoff of NBCUniversal Company, whose owner is also Brian L. Roberts with a 1% share and 33% voting power. Chairman David Novak and CEO Mark Lazarus.

Brian L. Roberts, see above.

PBS, stands out from the rest as it is a non-profit organization owned and ran by member public stations to provide 24 hour non-commercial educational programs.

All of the aforementioned people are capitalists doing capitalist things.

Nothing socialist or communist about it.

Alternative energy production has come a long way since a decade or so ago, and the US government choosing to spurn it and return to coal is a ridiculous choice both for business and for the environment. The only thing that will come of it will be other countries continuing to innovate and leaving the US behind in regard to technological advancements.

In turn there have also been significant advances in battery technology and electric vehicles. These vehicles are a lot more efficient than their predecessors.

Facebook, and it's parent company Meta owned by Mark Zuckerberg donated $1,000,000 to Trump's inaugural fund and also pledged $6,000,000,000 towards Trump's agenda.

Meta platforms are also working with the government to increase surveillance.

All of the other tech companies have also given money to Trump's funds or have cut deals that give Trump more money.

So again. This is capitalists doing what capitalists do.

There is nothing socialist or communist about it.

You just proved my point.
I didn't say they were socialist or communist.
I was responding to a post talking about Republicans and corporate interest.
I pointed out left wing corporate interest in politics.

No. I didn't.

You were responding to my post about if leftists were in control of the government, in which you listed a bunch of liberal nonsense.

There is no significant left wing in the US. Everything you listed is right wing. Republicans are included in that liberal hemisphere, as the Republican party has roots in liberalism and perpetuates neoliberal policy. The Democratic party is also liberal and works in tandem with the Republican party.

The left wing is not liberal. It consists of anarchists, communists, and socialists.

The Democratic party is not left wing—it is right wing.

The right-wing's goal is to perpetuate capitalism and their way of life. The left-wing does not.

By saying these media and tech corporations are left-wing, you are in fact calling them communist or socialist. But they aren't. You need to get your facts straight.

For the right-wing capitalism is the end goal. They have no plans to develop any further and have stagnated and have made it impossible for the working class it depends on to survive.

For the left-wing, capitalism and the owning class have outlived their purpose and reason for existing. The owning class have given us the tools to surpass them.

Lol  My facts are just fine.
And your post was so 'out there' that I'm not going to take the time to respond to it all.
It would do no good anyways.
Good luck and have a nice life.

The main stream media certainly goes to bat for the Democrats and the Trotsky sniffing Marxists so they are all working together. Given the options I'll stick with capitalism it's done far more more for humanity than anarchists, communists, and socialists.
“The American press is a shame and a reproach to a civilized people. When a man is too lazy to work and too cowardly to steal, he becomes an editor and manufactures public opinion.”
